Born in Italy, Silvia Bajardi is a contemporary artist whose multicultural journey through six countries across Europe, Asia, and North America fundamentally shapes her artistic vision. This extensive cross-cultural experience informs her exploration of identity, belonging, and the emotional landscapes that connect us across geographical and cultural boundaries.
Bajardi's background in spatial design has developed her sophisticated understanding of how color and composition interact with architectural environments, informing her approach to creating works that exist in dynamic relationship with their surroundings. Her fluency in four languages extends into her visual practice, where color functions as a universal language bridging diverse cultural experiences.
Currently based in Seattle, Washington, Bajardi has established herself within the Pacific Northwest contemporary art scene while maintaining her international perspective. She holds her artistic education from the Gage Academy of Art in Seattle, where she has been recognized with multiple awards for her abstract work.
Her paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout the Seattle area, with upcoming solo exhibition "Hortus Conclusus" at Kirkland Art Center.
Her work is featured in a significant public installation of five paintings at Microsoft Campus in Redmond and has garnered recognition through consecutive Best of Gage awards (2023, 2024) and inclusion in multiple Pacific Northwest shows.
Working primarily with acrylic, oil, and cold wax medium, Bajardi creates layered compositions that capture the dynamic movement and vibrant energy of cultural intersection. Her studio practice combines intuitive mark-making with deliberate conceptual exploration, resulting in works that speak to both personal experience and universal themes of connection and belonging.
