Born in Italy, Silvia Bajardi is a contemporary artist whose life across six countries in Europe, Asia, and North America fundamentally shapes her artistic vision. Her work explores identity, belonging, and the emotional landscapes that connect people across geographies.
Bajardi's background in spatial design brings a nuanced understanding of how color and composition interact with architectural environments, informing her approach to creating works that exist in dynamic relationship with their surroundings. Fluent in four languages, she extends this sensitivity into her visual practice, where color functions as a universal language bridging memory and experience.
Currently based in Seattle, Washington, she studied at the Gage Academy of Art, where she was recognized with consecutive Best of Gage awards for abstract painting (2023, 2024). Her first solo exhibition, Hortus Conclusus, opens at Kirkland Arts Center in October 2025.
Her work has been presented in group exhibitions throughout the Pacific Northwest and is featured in a permanent installation of five paintings at Microsoft’s Redmond campus.
Working primarily with acrylic, oil, and cold wax medium, Bajardi creates layered compositions that capture movement, energy, and depth. Her practice combines intuitive mark-making with deliberate conceptual exploration, resulting in works that speak to both personal experience and universal themes of connection and place.
